What happened to the Pickled Parrot?

Posted by T. Ballard Lesemann on Sun, Apr 12, 2009 at 7:39 AM

pickledparrotlogo.jpg We wonder what happened up at the Pickled Parrot, a sizeable bar and grill in North Charleston (8780 Rivers Ave.) that regularly hosted live music, karaoke, and special events. It was one of the hot spots on upper Rivers Avenue in recent years. I was checking out the club’s Myspace site for some updates for Music Board and read this announcement at the top of the page:

“After five years, we have decided to close at our present location. Thanks to Everyone! We will be opening in a new location later in the year.”

The club’s phone number is disconnected, too. Hopefully, we’ll get the news on where and when they’ll land in a new spot.
