On Sat. March 2, Follywood Productions is hosting the 9th Annual Follywood Oyster Roast to support and raise awareness for the Warrior Surf Foundation.

The event takes place from noon to 8 p.m. at The Barrel.

The Barrel will be providing the brew, of course, and food trucks, including Rebel Taqueria, will be onsite, along with over a dozen local art vendors set up inside the venue. There will also be a jump castle and carnival games for the kids.

Live music starts at 1:30 p.m. featuring:

  • Jimmy Buffet Tribute by Folly Pirates Over Forty (1:30-3 p.m.)
  • Classic & Outlaw Country Covers by Solid Country Gold (3:30-5 p.m.)
  • Classic Rock Covers by WPOS (5:30-7:45 p.m.)

Tickets are $15 at the door and kids 10 and under get in free. All-you-can-eat oyster tickets are sold separately for an estimated price of $10. While The Barrel is usually dog-friendly, for this event no pets are allowed.

The Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF) is a veteran-operated nonprofit helping veterans and active service members with PTSD, survivor's guilt, physical injuries, and social anxiety through surfing therapy. The goal of the foundation is to help veterans build bonds beyond the battlefield.

"We are super stoked that we are able to partner with Follywood Productions for their 9th Annual Oyster Roast," said Tyler Crowder of WSF in a press release. "This is a great opportunity for the community to come out and learn a little more about our organization and meet some of the team, all while enjoying oysters, food trucks, beer, live music, local art and family activities that Follywood has put together."
