Spending hours, even days, in the kitchen prepping for Turkey Day isn't for the faint of heart. That turkey doesn't baste itself, and who knew Grandma's famous green bean casserole recipe called for 10 hours of prep time? Lucky for you, Lowcountry restaurants are built for a meal this grandiose, with quite a few being open on Thanksgiving. Whether you're a traditionalist looking for turkey and stuffing, or simply crave a delicious meal out, these 20 spots have you covered (in gravy) Thurs. Nov. 22.

82 Queen

82 Queen is serving a special Thanksgiving Day three course menu from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Start with fried oyster mac and cheese or a kale salad before choosing one of several available entrée options — herb-roasted turkey and sausage stuffing are among the choices. Cap off your Turkey Day meal with pumpkin pie or sweet potato-maple layered cheesecake.

Lowcountry Bistro

Find Thanksgiving specials alongside the normal menu at Lowcountry Bistro. Menu highlights include main dishes like pan-seared sea scallops with caramelized pear-goat cheese risotto and a grilled pork chop with candied mashed sweet potatoes.

The Macintosh

Add a touch of elegance to your Turkey Day this year at The Macintosh, where Chef Jacob Huder is offering Thanksgiving specials and other seasonally inspired dishes from 12-8 p.m.

Tradd's

This new downtown eatery is offering two different dining experiences this Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Find an a la carte service in the downstairs dining room and a buffet upstairs in the private event space. The buffet will include classic dishes like roast turkey, honey baked spiral ham, roasted Brussels, sweet potato casserole, cornbread (with a caramelized onion stuffing!), and more.

Barbadoes Room

Head to The Barbadoes Room Restaurant in the Mills House Hotel for an afternoon Thanksgiving buffet that runs until 3 p.m. and a dinner service that goes until 8 p.m.

Halls Chophouse

Halls serves a menu featuring seasonal starters, entrees, and desserts from 1-8 p.m. Diners can choose from an oven roasted turkey or honey baked ham dinner with sides like traditional stuffing, mashed potatoes, creamed corn casserole, and dinner rolls. Guests craving a medium-rare ribeye and creamed spinach can still order off the full regular menu, too.

Magnolias

Magnolias offers Thanksgiving specials alongside their full menu of down South dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The sweet potato casserole with marshmallows and brown sugar is sure to evoke some childhood memories.

Head to Blossom on East Bay for turkey, smoked ham with sweet potatoes, and turtle pecan pie. Diners looking to deviate from the traditional meal can also order off the full menu, which features a wide array of Southern dishes, with seafood being the focus.

Henrietta's

The Dewberry's upscale eatery is offering seasonal fare and live music for $75 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. ($30 for children under 10). Find turkey, honey glazed ham, and chestnut stuffing at this family style affair, with a pie platter to finish off the meal.

Eleve Restaurant & Rooftop

The Grand Bohemian's rooftop restaurant is offering a traditional Thanksgiving feast —which includes a complimentary fall-inspired mimosa — from 2-7 p.m. for $59. The eatery is serving a three-course menu featuring dishes like lobster bisque, cedar brined turkey, herb-crusted ribeye, shaved Brussels sprouts, and pecan pie.

Tavern & Table

Shem Creek's Tavern & Table is offering a three-course menu for $50. After the complimentary Parker House rolls with spiced honey butter, choose a starter and main dish, which includes a family-style green bean casserole dish. Finish up with either pumpkin cheesecake or chocolate banana cream pie parfait.
