Get a first look at Tu restaurant's sleek and sophisticated space

Expect the unexpected is generally how we approach everything from the team behind Xiao Bao Biscuit. From XBB's monkey mural to its much beloved mapo dou fu, owners Joshua Walker, Duolan Li, and Joey Ryan take chances, yet always seem to nail it. And, from the looks of the interior design of their latest effort Tu, the new restaurant strikes that same balance of unique and chic.

Just hours before officially opening their doors tonight, Walker let photographer Robert Donovan come in and take a tour, and just as we'd hoped the single house at 430 Meeting St. has been transformed into a sleek space — a modern look to match Tu's bold menu.
