I've always considered Sean Brock a stylish guy. His laid-back yet professional look — fancy flannel shirts, Levi's jeans, Billy Reid work boots — makes him appear approachable but put together. And then there's his signature baseball caps. His Southern Foodways Alliance-inspired 'Make Cornbread Not War' hat has surely launched the imitation of dozens of chefs and foodies the South over. (For those still hoping to mirror the look, Billy Reid sells them for $49.)

As it turns out, Brock's appearance is a studied look. In an interview with Wild Cub's Keegan DeWitt, the two talked style and Brock confessed, "I really am picky about what I wear, but at the same time, I’m certainly not a fantastic dresser."

Bonobos begs to differ.

The men's brand today released a newsletter all about its "role models" and it turns out Sean Brock is one of them. Joining astronaut Leland Melvin, VICE journalist Ryan Duffy, Lava Records CEO Jason Flom, and others, Brock is spotlighted for his "distinct point of view and work ethic." Naturally the chef is photographed holding a chicken, wearing Bonobos' checked shirt.

Want your own chicken-friendly flannel? Bonobos 'black ombre check' only costs $98 and it's perfect for fowl weather.
