After Hurricane Irma ripped through the US Virgin Islands, Alley owner David Crowley reached out to a Charleston F&B friend, Clint Gaskins, owner of Sea Island Food Group, LLC, and the well known restaurant The Longboard in St. John, offering to help Gaskins's efforts for the people of the Virgin Islands.

Starting this Sat. Sept 23, The Alley will be hosting a clothes and supply drive for newly formed nonprofit, LowcountryLOVEforVI.
Location Details The Alley
The Alley
131 Columbus St.
Downtown
Charleston, SC
(843) 818-4080
Lunch & Dinner, 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
American and Bar
The nonprofit was formed immediately after Irma; the Lowcountry volunteers from LowcountryLOVEforVI have partnered with Project St. Croix, a nonprofit based in Christiansted, St. Croix (USVI), to gather supplies for those who have been affected by Irma, and who may be affected by current Cat 5 hurricane Maria.

There will be three ways to help the USVI citizens this weekend. Sat. and Sun. there will be a clothes drive at The Alley from 11 a.m. to close. Because The Alley is a sports bar, they are asking everyone to donate sports-related clothing. All guests who donate will receive either a Charleston Mix Bloody Mary, a domestic bottled beer, or a loaded tots appetizer. Also on Sat. and Sun. starting at 11 a.m. online, everyone who donates $20 or more to the LowcountryLOVEforVI GoFundMe page will receive a Bloody, domestic beer, or tots.

Starting Mon. Sept. 25 through Sat. Oct. 7 there will be a power generator drive at BoomTown! The first 20 people to donate power generators will receive a voucher for a bowling party of 12 at The Alley.

On Oct. 7 BoomTown! and LowcountryLOVEforVI will send clothes and supplies directly to the St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands local nonprofit Project St. Croix: Irma Relief for our Sister Islands for distribution.
