Combine eclipse weekend, freshman orientation, and the last of weekend freedom before the college students hit those herringbone bricks and are relegated to the library, and what do you get: overcrowded streets and young faces in your favorite haunts. The remedy? Grab a local brew at one of these breweries, where the vibes are low-key and haven’t yet been discovered by the young ‘un’s.

Friday
El Pinchotaco will be serving up bites as Joshua Jarman brings the tunes at Freehouse Brewery from 6 to 9 p.m.

Holy City Brewery is releasing their new tart guava wheat beer, brewed in collaboration with Thomas Creek. The beer goes on tap at 2 p.m., and the kitchen will be slinging food all night long.

Two Blokes Brewing is turning a year old — and the party starts Friday night with Double Firkin Friday, tapping two casks of ale. Choose between Spilt Milk Stout — brewed with coffee and raspberries, or Planet of the Apricots, with vanilla beans and cream. The first 25 pints will come with a commemorative pint glass.

Saturday
Bendy Brewski brings the art forms of yoga and craft beer together at Palmetto. At 10 a.m., get your downward dog on, and after the zen sesh, enjoy some delicious brews with your fellow yogis.

Crack open a cold one in the name of community service with Palmetto Brewing Company; kick off the morning with a litter sweep of Huger Street, then head over to Palmetto for ice cold pints and snacks, plus a showing of E.T.

The b-day celebrations continue at Two Blokes, where there will be live music from Chewbacky from 5-8 p.m., food trucks galore (The Immortal Lobster, we’re looking at you), and a beer tent.

Sunday
Charleston’s own Revelry Brewing Company and Asheville-based Burial Brewing teamed up to brew a special brett beer refermented with yuzu zest and sudachi juice. The bottle release will take place from noon-10 p.m., with food provided by Tobo Sushi and music from Danny May.

It’s the final day of Two Bloke’s birthday bash, and they’re ending things right with a barrel aged beer release. They’ll be tapping their bourbon aged barrel, Log Heavy, and rum barrel aged Captain Bligh, a porter with coconut, cocoa nibs, and vanilla beans.
