The first glimpse of the future Charleston Beer Exchange (14 Exchange St.) is here. Last year, owner Scott Shor announced that he would close CBX and reopen his beer store in NoMo next to his Edmund's Oast restaurant. CBX would be renamed Edmund's Beer Exchange and add wine to it's stock. Now, we have the first look of renderings going before the Board of Architectural Review tomorrow.

According to the blueprints, the new two-story beer and wine store will sit right next to Edmund's on the Morrison Drive parking lot side. Andrew Gould of New World Byzantine is designing the space, and Sarah O’Kelley, Certified Cicerone Brandon Plyler, and Mark Sahara will manage the wine and 1,000 different varieties of beer sold in cans, bottles, kegs, and growlers.

Edmund's Oast Exchange is expected to be completed in early 2017.
