Za, anyone?

Locals love D’Allesandros, Elliotborough’s signature pizza and beer joint, for its atmosphere and fantastic pies. Sometimes, though, you want the food but don’t have the time to kick it with friends at the restaurant. They are now offering a selection of frozen pizzas — the only homemade frozen pizza in town — so you can indulge yourselves at home without any waiting.

“We wanted to find a way to sell more pizza without opening another shop,” says owner Nick D’Allesandro. “Really, it’s just another way of delivering pizza.” Currently, you can purchase frozen 12-inch cheese, pepperoni, and Get Gnarly (balsamic chicken, spinach, and blue cheese … yum!) pizzas at Ted’s Butcherblock and at Bull Street Gourmet on King for $8 and $9, respectively. Soon you’ll be able to purchase them at the Piggly Wiggly on Meeting Street too, and possibly on the D’Allesandro’s website in the future.
