In recent days, artist David Boatwright has brought an old dilapidated warehouse back to life with a bountiful mural. He's been putting on the finishing touches as Grow Food Carolina readies for a grand opening party on Saturday.

Grow Food Carolina is the Coastal Conservation League's new food hub at 990 Morrison Drive. Its mission is to connect local farms and foods to local markets. Currently, you can find their produce in the Vegetable Bin and Whole Foods among a handful of other marketplaces.

On Saturday evening, Grow Food will host a big party with food from 17 North, music from Blue Plantation Band, and beer from Palmetto. Tickets range from $30 for members to $60 for couples. Visit their eventbrite page for more information.
