Looking for something to do today? How about ride your bike over to the Charleston Beer Exchange and get your growler filled with Fat Tire for about $4.99.
They say it’s the silliest thing they’ve ever done, but they’re doing it to celebrate New Belgium’s 20th anniversary.
Get there between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and you can get in front of the camera to share your favorite Fat Tire story. They’re giving away a Fat Tire Cruiser to the winner (and that is one sweet ride).
If that’s not enough beer geekery for you, they’ll be going nuts on Monday when the Stillwater and Evil Twin guys come to town for the epic beer dinner at Carolina’s.
From 5-6 p.m., they’ll have Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal Ales, Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø of Evil Twin Brewing (Denmark), and Brian Ewing of 12% Imports on hand for a free meet and greet and tasting. They promise unique brews will be on hand. Afterwards, they’ll head to Carolina’s for an eight-course, nine-beer dinner that is probably already sold out. But you should double check by calling, Oak at (843) 722-4220. You never know, they might be compelled to add some extra seats to meet the demand.
