This Sat. April 27, the Charleston Museum is presenting ReMember the Museum, a special family event celebrating the country's first museum and the thousands of items on display.

The event is free for museum members, and free with paid admission for non-members. In celebration of the event, children ages three to 12 will receive free admission with a paid adult ($12). Free children's admission is limited to one kid per every adult admission.

ReMember the Museum is an all day event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring an array of activities for the family with tours from Museum curators, kids' activities, book readings, and more.

For Pokemon Go! fans, Niantic has created additional Poke-stops and lures for the event, so you can catch and battle more Pokemon with friends and family all day long.

The Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary will be onsite with adoptable pets, giving you the option to leave the museum with a new family member.

A pop-up shop will be in the Meeting Green Gardens.

New objects from the Historical Archaeology Collection will be on display in the Lowcountry History Hall.
