Monday

Catch Terraphonics and Kevin Shields at Proof starting at 9 p.m. No cover.

Perform at Palmetto Brewing for Open Mic Night and get a free pint on the house. Tunes start at 6 p.m.

Hop on the 6:18 p.m. bus for the James Island-Folly Beach Democrats on the Bus event for an hour of discussing and learning about what CARTA is doing to increase public transit.

Tuesday

Learn the real story of Francis Marion with a reading of John Oller's Swamp Fox, the first biography in nearly half a century, at Charleston Library Society at 6 p.m.

Stop by Workshop at 6 p.m. for a free concert featuring the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.

Buxton Books is hosting Dana and Virginia Beach for a talk on their new book, A Wholly Admirable Thing, chronicling the Coastal Conservation League. Event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with beer, wine, and light refreshments.

Wednesday

Test your stand-up skills at The Brick for Comedy Open Mic Night starting at 9 p.m., with sign-ups at 8:30 p.m.

Lewis Barbecue is hosting Liberty on the Rocks, a non-partisan discussion of political (and non-political) issues. Kicks off at 7 p.m.


Thursday

VooDoo is hosting a V-Day Bingo at 9:30 p.m. It's free to play, with chances to win bar cash and prizes from Badd Kitty. 21+

Join College of Charleston Geology Professor Robert Boessenecker for a talk on the evolution of whales and their role as the poster child of macro-evolution starting at 4 p.m.

Friday

Catch the Corps of Cadets Parade at The Citadel starting at 3:45 p.m.

Drop in at the John Dart Library for a double feature of Paddington and Paddington 2 starting at 3 p.m.

Saturday

Charleston County Public Library is hosting a talk with veterans Jennifer Oblinger and Nick Ivey about their life in the service and transition back to civilian life. Talk starts at 3 p.m.

Stop by the St. Andrews Regional Library for Library Board Game Day at 1 p.m. for board gaming fun for adults, teens, and children.

Sunday

Wine Down Sunday is at Uncork Charleston for a night of wine, cheeses, and a special showcase of Women in the Arts, featuring live painting, poetry, and songstresses starting at 4:30 p.m.

Black Excellence "The Art Show" kicks off at 7 p.m. at Exquisite Enterprises, Inc. featuring Charleston artists celebrating their talents and creative spirits in the Lowcountry.

Haberdash is celebrating their grand opening at 5 p.m. Complimentary food & beverages will be available, along with pre-booking specials for their event space. 18+.

Join Planned Parenthood in an open, safe space to share stories relating to reproductive healthcare and learn about their storytelling program at Workshop starting at 12 p.m.
