Have you watched Chance on Hulu? The show, starring Hugh Laurie as neuropsychiatrist Dr. Eldon Chance, follows the doc as he's pulled into the dangerous life of his patient, Jaclyn Blackstone (Gretchen Mol). While the plot's premise is enough to have us hooked, we recently discovered an even better reason to watch the show — Charleston contemporary artist Tim Hussey has his works featured in Season 2.
As Hussey posted on Instagram, his larger-scale abstract works are featured throughout Season 2 episodes of Chance. Hussey joins other local artists who have been featured on television shows, including, most recently, Patrick Prickett's portraits on Mr. Mercedes.

Hussey says that the director and producer of Chance, Jonas Pate, is a friend, and asked Hussey for some pieces to be featured in a gallery scene, "in which Hugh Laurie looks around and purchases one large painting. Then that piece hangs over his couch for the season and becomes part of the plot line as a clue." Hussey also tells us that you can peep his mural in Larry David's foyer as part of the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The aforementioned large painting featured in Chance is "Velkomio 5," from his 2016 show, Badeschiff. In a December 2016 interview with City Paper, Hussey talked about the meaning behind the show and the works he'd created. "I've hit a new level. I don't know if you ever really do or what my answer really is, but, I've started to find my way. That's why the styles changed through the months. Because I was totally lost. I was distracted. It's really hard to care or understand art when you're grieving or going through shit. The pool for me is a groove."
