Every year the South Carolina Press Association hands out PALMY Awards, which recognize the best newspaper advertisements in the state. This year's contest saw almost 500 entries, and we're proud to say that the City Paper team took home seven awards. Check out the winning ads, designed by our production and sales teams, below.

Production team member Tiffany Waldorf and sales rep Colby Chisholm took home first place in the Drug, Beverage, Specialty Food or Grocery ad category with this ad for Snafu Brewing Co.

CP art director Scott Suchy and sales rep Shelby Tamres took home first place in the Events/Cultural Entertainment category for their Windwood Farms Pork & Pearls 2017 ad. Judges deemed the design "clean, clear, and concise."
