Creative Mornings Charleston (CMCHS) recently celebrated its third birthday. For the past three years, the free breakfast lecture series has featured local, talented speakers every month, speaking on the same topic as other Creative Mornings chapters around the world.

October's theme is Pioneer, and CMCHS is sticking to it by featuring Sean Flood, CEO of The Gotcha Group, the pioneer of a lot of transportation innovations in the city. Flood speaks at Gotcha Group's headquarters on Radcliffe Street at 8 a.m. next Fri. Oct. 20. The event is free to attend but spots fill up fast, so be sure to sign up by Mon. Oct. 16 at 10 a.m.

Flood started the Gotcha (Green Operated Transit Carrying Humanity Around) Group in 2009 with Gotcha Ride, eco-friendly electric vehicles for college students. Since then the group has acquired two other companies to create Gotcha Media Holdings, with assets in ride, bike, give, and spot. The bike part has manifested as Holy Spokes, one of two bike sharing programs in the city.
