Today Redux Contemporary Art Center’s Board of Directors named Redux’s new Executive Director, Cara Leepson, who begins on Dec. 1. Interim Executive Director Beth Kerrigan will remain in her role until Dec. 1.

Leepson currently serves as development and operations manager for Transformer, an arts organization in Washington, D.C. A Virginia native and graduate of Lynchburg College, Leepson worked as an intern at Redux in 2010 before returning to D.C. for grad school at Georgetown University, where she earned her masters in art and museum studies with an emphasis in public programming and contemporary art.

Redux’s search for its next executive director was facilitated by Governance4Good, with 120 candidates applying for the position. Leepson will serve as Redux’s eighth executive director, after Stacy Huggins Geist stepped down from the role earlier this year.
