Artist-in-residence wanted by North Charleston Cultural Arts Department

The North Charleston Cultural Arts Department is on the hunt for a new artist-in-residence, a position filled by a different visual artist every fiscal year.

The artist-in-residence will be an essential part of the outreach department, instructing the public through workshops and lessons, demonstrating for schools and community groups, and sharing their skills with the city. The individual will have opportunities to display their work at local schools, the North Charleston City Gallery, and the North Charleston Arts Fest.

Applications will be accepted until Fri. July 21. The position will run from August 2017 to June 2018 and will pay $25 an hour for up to 300 hours.
