International Piano Series changes artists for Nov. 4 concert

Beth Levin cancels, Ji to take her place

The College of Charleston announced this afternoon that Beth Levin, the pianist scheduled to perform an International Piano Series concert on Tuesday, Nov. 4 has canceled her performance due to a death in her immediate family. Instead of Levin, the 24-year-old Korean pianist Ji will perform.

Ji has performed at the Kennedy Center and at New York's Merkin Concert Hall, and also played a four-hand recital with Georgia native and pianist Charles Wadsworth, who's performed in the Lowcountry many times.

Despite his talent and classical stardom, Ji is also refreshingly un-stodgy — he's collaborated with pop stars, dancers, and other artists and has a vision of making classical music accessible to all people. Check out his energetic style in the video above, and get tickets or find out more about the concert at music.cofc.edu/concerts.
