Rogue Wave celebrates new storefront in The Hub

After months of pop-up shops and operating out of owner Rhett Boyd's home, Rogue Wave Surf Shop is finally opening up a storefront. Stop by to check out the new spot at 69 Spring Street in The Hub on Thurs. April 28 from 6-10 p.m. They'll have music from the Explorers Club as well as a sneak peek at collaborative pieces with WDG and Gato Heroi. You can also expect to find new and vintage clothing, surfboards, and Gremmie Skateboards.

Mac & Murphy Grand Opening

Cannonborough/Elliotborough welcomed Mac & Murphy to its quickly-growing list of great new businesses last month. We checked it out a few weeks ago and fell in love with the great stationery selection, the garden out back, and the friendly proprietors. On Thursday, they're hosting their grand opening celebration from 5:30-8 p.m., with cupcakes from Sugar and champagne from Caviar & Bananas. Neighboring restaurants like Lana, Hominy Grill, D'Allesandro's, and Mia Pomodori will salute the new shop with food and drink specials throughout the evening.
