Gird your loins, fashion connoisseurs, for it’s the season for fashion to change its colors and hit the streets anew once again. Deals are popping up left and right as stores are shedding their winter coats to make room for springtime loveliness.

One of those shops is Butterfly Women’s Consignment. They're in the midst of their Gambler Sale, with discounts rising every day, reaching up to 80 percent off everything in the store on Sat., Feb. 27. The sale lets you try your hand at Lady Luck — should you buy that fabulous sweater for 60 percent off or wait for the biggest discount? Be careful — it may not be there if you wait too long. For more information, call (843) 577-8404.

Troubadour hosts a spring trunk show and fall preview at Hampden Clothing on Friday from 12-6 p.m.

Speaking of deals, The Shoe Fairy and Mary Mojo Boutique is hosting a Mardi Gras Market this Friday and Saturday. Local vendors, stores, and designers will be offering special discounts and offers on Friday and Saturday.

On Saturday, Poe Studio and Alexis Gault are kicking off the revival of the Artist Night/Trunk Show series. From 5-8 p.m. Gault will present her funky “upcycled” (made from used and repurposed materials) skirts and other handmade clothing for women and girls. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call (843) 573-4884.

Also Saturday, Mac & Murphy hosts a trunk show with Candy Shop Vintage from 1-4 p.m.

Just in time for Wine + Food, Fashion Week, and all those other glam events that require a cute outfit, Novel is reopening. The temporary fashion and art collaborative will be open from March 1-31 at 438 King St. Some local superstars taking part in the pop-up shop include Marysia Reeves, Jane Pope, Sally King Benedict, Library, Stems, and more.

And of course, what’s fashionable clothing without accessories? The Beaded Venus in Mt. Pleasant is hosting a Venetian Bead Trunk Show featuring the work of Cavalier Luigi Cattelan and Nicole Anderson from Murano, Italy March 3-6. Luigi’s extensive collection will include beads that are one-of-a-kind, vintage, antique, and works from his factory in Murano. For more information, call (843) 881-5690.

We just got word from Liz Whitworth at Poe Studio in Avondale that they're having a big sale this weekend, starting Thurs. Jan. 7. "We need to make room for all the fun things I hope to find at Market this week and I want to repaint the store, so I've marked almost everything in the store down," she says. Shoes are 25 percent off, most short-sleeved tees are 25-40 percent off, fall/winter clothing is 30 percent off, and lots of jewelry is on sale, too. Some things are as much as 50 percent off. Call (843) 573-4884 for more info.
