If all of you fashion-forward men have been feeling a little left out of the consignment world, look out for Adam, a new store just for men that’s opening downtown.

Adam is the newest endeavor of Amanda Rosen, owner of Butterfly Women’s Consignment Boutique, which currently has three locations in the Charleston area. Rosen decided to open Adam after realizing that there are no consignment stores in Charleston that focus on men’s fashions.

“I feel there is a definite need for this store in Charleston. There are so many trendy men here,” Rosen says.

According to Rosen, the store is already generating positive buzz. While further expansion is possible in the future, Rosen plans to first concentrate on making Adam the best men’s consignment store possible.

Adam opens Fri., July 23 at its location at 499-A King Street and will offer upscale, stylish men’s fashions. On its opening date, the store will begin accepting freshly cleaned men’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. Until Adam’s opening, the three Butterfly locations will be accepting men’s consignments.

Shoppers can expect prices to range from $20 into the thousands. If you choose to consign clothing and accessories to Adam, you’ll receive 40 percent of the sales revenue.

Preferable brands for consignment include everything from J.Crew and French Connection to Burberry and William Rast.
