Elizabeth Stuart Design moving sale

Up to 50 percent off through September

ecb5/1247257479-esdexterior_thumb.jpgElizabeth Stuart Design recently announced that they are closing their King Street location this fall. A moving sale, featuring up to half-off many home design items, begins today and will continue through September. The 4,000-square-foot West Ashley location will remain open.

Owner Elizabeth "Muffie" Stuart Faith says that the slow economy and high rent prices are to blame for the location's shuttering. Rather than spending so much money on rent, Faith plans to put those funds toward finding more spectacular items for the shop from all over the world.

She goes further into depth on the issue on ESD's blog.

"No, I didn't have to move and no, we are financially stable but I didn't want the risk in this economy," she writes.

The shop has seen its share of accolades, including mentions in Travel + Leisure, Southern Accents, and Southern Living.

Our advice? Get there soon for the best selection!

ESD is located downtown at 314 King St. (843-577-6272) and in West Ashley at 422 Savannah Hwy. (843-225-6282)
