Re: “The Mustard Seed

If there was a no star option I would leave it, not sure where these other people eat but horrible food, the worst that I have encountered in many 29 years of breathing air. I am a vegetarian myself and find it insulting for this to be cobsidered a vegetarian restaurant, what is vege besides EGGPLANT!!!! Complete joke, and I am not laughing>

Re: “Cork Neighborhood Bistro

Well, the beer and wine are now flowing. I went in last week for lunch and got the pastrami sandwich special. It was done wonderfully on crispy, buttery, toasty bread. The guy at the table next to me got the turkey, havarti, bacon...that is definitely what I am getting next time. My girlfriend got the greek salad; huge, delicious, fresh. Cork seems to be a great spot!

Re: “Atlanticville Restaurant

Yum. That pretty much sums it up in one word. Their signature dish is a fried oyster appetizer and it should not be missed plus you'll always enjoy fantastic service!! The menu is heavy on delicious seafood options, but they have a great tenderloin dish as well.

Re: “Cork Neighborhood Bistro

The wine and beer license is in the works, they say (the wine racks are standing along the front wall, ready for use). A new dinner schedule is about to start as well.

Re: “Cork Neighborhood Bistro

The most delicious lunch I've had in years. Odd that they are called cork, but do not serve wine, but the chef has created a fresh menu that exceeded my expectations!

Re: “Cru Cafe

I love the food at Cru, it's a great place for a lunch date before going to work. However, last week we went in at 11:45 and there was only one other table. It took an hour and ten minutes to get out of there. Other people came and went while we waited. i understand things happen but it should at least be acknowledged by the staff. I think they lost our ticket or something...

Re: “Cru Cafe

I had a wonderful meal here. I ordered a caesar salad, and the "crouton" looked pretty intimidating, but it tasted great with the fresh lettuce, parmesan, and the housemade dressing. My only qualm was that the lettuce was chopped too fine, so it was difficult to stab with the fork. The mussels were meaty, and the broth was superb. Service was friendly and fast, even on a Friday night.

Re: “Red Drum

We had dinner there the other week. Before that the only thing I had eaten from was the Hot Butter Rum Cake which is out of this world. Dinner was just as good. Looking at their website before going I had thought about getting the "South by Southwest" Mixed Grill but went with the Wood grilled double cut pork chop after the waiters strong recommendation. It was amazing and the blackberry mustard was great. I also love restaurants that offer beer flights and the Red drum has a great selection of craft brews on tap. The other people in our party had the Grouper and that too was a big hit. It was light and flavorful. I also loved the chile dusted calamari. The two things I look for in judging a restaurant after the meal is how many times you think about how good the meal was and whether or not you would go back or per fur to try some place new. After that meal I can't wait to go back.

Re: “Red Drum

I have been going to the Red Drum for years now and I am never disappointed. I still haven't found any restaurant in charleston as good as this one in service and great food and wine.

Re: “Crave Kitchen & Cocktails

Went for "date night" they had a more than fair set menu for appetizer, entree, and dessert and even a bottle of wine for only $52! They start you with a bit of bread and homemade honey and maple syrup butter that is to die for! We had the mussels as our first dish, and I must say that was the most I had ever seen in a starter dish! Kinda spicy but sort of sweet because of the chile coconut curry-absolutely delicious! I had the "fruit de mer" and my boyfriend had the "Hanger steak", both of which were divine! We ended the meal with the red velvet cake to go, because we were both too full to even consider having any at the table-maybe just a bite :) The service was superb, and we will definitely be back for seconds!

Re: “Atlanticville Restaurant

Great spot. The atmosphere warm and casual, but still very elegant. The entrees were delicious (even if a tad more expensive than they should have been). I had the filet and it was cooked to perfection (a tad on the rare side of medium rare for me). Apps were killer.

Re: “Crave Kitchen & Cocktails

The meal started off great, our server was friendly and efficient. Everyone was happy with their meals, until towards the end, when we noticed some dark specs at the bottom of the fries. The waitress told us that the fries are cooked with bacon, and they need to update the dinner menu. Unfortunately, 2 of my dining companions do not eat pork. Thanks for allowing us to pay (full price) for you to make us sick.
