Clean, great food, service, and music.
Also karaoke on Friday.
I first went to Holy Cow in 2000. I knew little about yoga, the practice. Tracy, the owner, was the instructor. I've always been athletic, physically fit. I was a competitive, nationally ranked swimmer for years. I frequented local gyms (Trey's in West Ashley etc). Did the 45 min treadmill etc...never liked it, it was a chore.
The impact of that first class, physically, mentally and emotionally; changed my life forever. I'm not diligent with my yoga practice. Over the years, I'd go 3 times a week for months, then not for 6 month. Get back into it for a good while, then not go for 2 years. The things I learned however, stay with me everyday, whether I'm practicing at Holy Cow or not.
I've taken classes at several other yoga studios throughout the Charleston area. Nothing's ever come close to the experience, the "vibe" or energy that's never changed at Holy Cow. Holy Cow will always be the true essence, the core of yoga in Charleston.
Just came home from Charleston, SC and had to make sure I left a comment! This is the BEST place if your looking for some good ole soul food!! I had the fried flounder, mac & cheese, fried okra & coca cola chocolate cake and it was FABULOUS!!! Also tasted the collard greens & corn bread, oh it was delicious too!! Very reasonable cost and the best service!!! Yes, the wait is well worth it!! Can't wait to go back, makes my mouth water just thinking about it!! Wish I could have tasted everything!!
This place rules! Great beers to try, free pretzels and very friendly bartenders. It's a very chill atmosphere and good for a nice conversation.
I have been attending the Charleston Area Tarot Association meetings for many years. This is a great way to learn more about the art of Tarot divination.
Great bar, great beers, great people. Great place to talk to friends over a beer without drowning in college testosterone.
They have delicious chocolates, baked goods, coffees, and even baguettes; Where can I get a salami sandwich for myself and a blueberry dark chocolate bar for my wife and then two cups of coffee to wake us both up after? Christophe, that's where.
Oops, my previous review was suppose to reflect 5 stars and not 1. This place is awesome!
The Pluff Mud Porter and Dorchester Lite are my go to beers. Now they have the Follicle Brown in cans too, woohoo!
This is a great market that defines the meaning of sustainability by keeping it local. There are lots of vendors selling their amazing products in an easy to park, room to walk about, and fun atmosphere.
Best Mexican food in SC for supper reasonable pricing.
Staff is extremely attentive, fast and professional. Food portions are great size. Me and my mom had "fajitas for two to share" (Sizzling shrimp, chicken and pork with bell peppers + 6 warm tortillas side of fried beans and guacamole). Price 19$. We ended up taking some home and were full to max!!!! Awesome Margaritas and Daquries!
Delicious, awesome, and very nicely done food. Not a run-of-the-mill mexican restaurant. Most everything from Raul's kitchen is made there, including the salsas and taco tortillas. The guacamole is the best I've had from a restaurant. The Al Pastor is also way better than any place around. A must try.
A little hard to find, but its at the end of the block!
They have 4pool tournaments a week lots of fun
My wife and I have had the opportunity to eat lunch at G&M perhaps 10 times. Every time we've been there we've loved it. Sometimes it is very crowded, other times it's just crowded. Elbow to elbow, everybody here is loving the food and the authentic atmosphere. I will continue to try to find an excuse to be on Broad Street around noon.
We recently tried Okra Grill after some of our local friends recommended it. Everything we had was awesome and it will be our new favorite. Even my picky 10 year old cleared her plate and tried eating off of ours so that in itself is a miracle! I am thankful that Tommy Condon's, one of our other favs had a B on the door over St. Patrick's Day weekend because it led us to this new favorite.
MBayasud suffers from an acute case of sour grapes. Page's has been in business for years and have always treated my family well. Probably Mbayasud is from Ohio.
Growing up in Charleston I've seen some seedy shops come and go. Guilty Pleasures is the one place that caters to women and couples. Its great to not have to be buzzed in a back door, and their merchandise is top notch. I got my giant bean bag chair there, which gets more action as a video gaming lounger but that's another story...
There's nothing like Rock Paper Scissors for having a great time with a group of friends! I've already learned how to make a wine rack and my hubby and I worked as a team to make some cool corn hole boards. Love it!!
This is some of the best learning fun you'll ever have! I went there with some of my friends from work. Rather than paying bar prices somewhere for happy hour, we brought our own wine, cheese and hummus and made earrings together at Rock Paper Scissors. What a blast! Amanda let us put on our favorite Pandora station, and we talked and laughed and still learned a skill. It was truly an amazing time!
