Best fried coconut ice cream with raspberry sauce, ever!!!
It's narcissistic to think you should be able to hold a table until the rest of your party arrives when there are other patrons who are ready to be seated and order.
Although I love the BB Co., they tend to be inconsistent with ingredients, and for the price you pay for their food they truly need to stay on top of things and deliver what customers order. I love that James Islanders can get healthy food on the go that's super tasty. Best wraps on the island since the Daily Dose.
Every course was DELICIOUS!
Trollslayer, you are absolutely right on the smoking. It's disgusting and blows right into the restaurant.
There were 3 of the 7 of us there, and we were ordering carafes of mimosas. We weren't sipping on water, and even if we were, too bad. With a group of 7 people, people are going to order and you are going to make money. If a business wants my money, you can damn well seat me and those who are present with my party while we wait on the rest to arrive.
I agree with BNP29412 on this one. Pearlz downtown has the same policy. What if the last person in your party is an hour behind (which I have seen before from previous F&B work)? Tables are specifically meant to be used to make money. If you are using that table patiently waiting on others to arrive, then they aren't making money & most likely turning other people away. Its a smart business decision. I know its hard to coordinate, but if everyone arrives at the same time, it shouldn't be a problem.
Not smoke free. The addicts sit at an outside bar and blow smoke across to the inside of the building.
It is also very annoying for a big group to start to be seated when the first person arrives and then proceeds to drink water with lemon for 45 minutes while the rest of their party saunters in. If a restaurant has a busy service and wants to do a good job for every patron, this is how they have to seat tables.
Although their brunch is delicious, I was quickly aware that I may never return with a group of people as they will not seat you until EVERY person in your party is present. They sat numerous people before us while we waited. Very annoying.
The most incredible food ths t I have ever eaten. Clean facility. Friendly staff.
is it cleaned up?
Good beer and attractive location. It can get a little hot in there, but that is the norm in a small production facility. I am predicting an updated 5 star review in the near future.
The BEST mussels anywhere on the peninsula!
It is a funky little place with local art and comfort food. Like a mom and pop but with hipster staff. Meat loaf, pork chops, and breakfast all day. Simple but good.
Great mussels mariniere. French fries are like crack. Good service. Can be very noisy on weekends, but so many restaurants are. Quiet ones are ones without people. What does that say?
I love Nirlep, but they recently raised their prices by a significant margin. The chicken korma is now $14; the lamb korma is $16. This makes me sad.
Since Revelry has not yet been rated yet, I would like to start their rating out with an enthusiastic 5 star rating! Sean, Jay and Ryan have really done well by not only providing the craft beer drinking community a great place to hang out, but also providing a great lineup of quality, great tasting beers!! Keep up the great work!!
I don't get it. Why the complaints? This is not a fine dining place. It is a wonderful classic French dinner bistro; The kind I like to drop into in Paris. We are regulars, usually eating a salad frisee with goat cheese and Moules Frites. They also are known for their Suchi (a bit of a surprise). It can get noisy around end of work, hookup time and the service can be terrible on any of the holidays due to over demand and decreased staff, but it hasn't stopped me from going. If you want elegant and pretty food, go elsewhere and pay considerably more. Here time it well and eat well.
Four of us went after a Spoleto event. Talking to those across the table turned into a shouting contest due to the noise. We will not go back for a later meal.
Have been several times for lunch and the decibel level was nowhere near as bad.
