Re: “Mike Calder's Buffalo Pub

Kim is the best bartender I've ever had. Every time I enter this incredible establishment I've greeted and a beer is placed before me. The food is amazing! In response to the heavy flow of late night visitors they added specials for food and beverage employees. I'm pretty positive the 4$ shot specials never change but that's by no means a bad thing. Every time friends are in town this is our first stop. If you want a good experience, Caulders is a must!!

Re: “The Vinyl Countdown

This is a great store with a great selection and there are lots of gems among the $1 records. It's an area of King St. where there's always lots of parking so it's not a hassle to get to.

Re: “Charleston Music Hall

Your listing of prices for Tommy Emanual were a little low. Back of the balcony $145 each!

Re: “Smoke BBQ

I really dig this place. The staff is always awesome and the prices are reasonable, teetering on inexpensive. The pork is magical and smoky. $3 pork tacos at happy hour. Do it. The wings are a mighty tasty treat as well.

Re: “Smoke BBQ

It is criminally overpriced and mediocre. They charged $18 for pulled pork or $21 for brisket with two sides. The pork was okay but nothing special and no taste of smoke at all. The brisket was a study in bad barbecue technique, starting with too much fat and ending with being overcooked. The sides sounded great but were bland and flavorless.

Re: “The Taco Spot

Very good tacos and burritos. Taste great but the portions aren't very big. Get chips to fill up the void.

Re: “Riverfront Park

Fantastic park in old North Charleston on the former navy base....situated on the Cooper River complete with fishing piers and riverfront boardwalks....gorgeous old oak trees....one of my favorite places for a walk!

Re: “Moe's Crosstown Tavern

I had brunch for the first time at Moe's last weekend. By far one of the best I've had in Charleston! Fantastic food, little to no wait time because we got a seat at the bar, and no pretentious prices. Loved it and I'm a brunch snob.

Re: “Columbia Museum of Art

This is an excellent article which shows O'Keeffe's dominent quality of independence. However, if she had not encountered Stieglitz, she may have only become an art instructor. He was her one-man PR machine and - even then - artists needed hoopla to get noticed. However he was also the one who constantly promoted her work as sensual.

Re: “Mike Calder's Buffalo Pub

Been going to calders for almost a year now and the Food is terrible since jason left. The cook now can't cook food at all. Ordered a burger medium rare it came out rare barley cooked.. fries are over cooked everytime, have had to send them back multiple times. This happens multiple times a week. Will only grab drinks there from now on. Never eating there again until they get a cook that knows what they are doing. 1 star out of 5 for food. 5 out if 5 for bartender service when Kim or Nina are working

Re: “D.D. Pecker's Wing Shack

food is ok, the place is dirty. Reminds me of a pub night at a marginal fraternity. Really nothing to see here. And I'm born and bred in Philly.

Re: “D.D. Pecker's Wing Shack

tried them a couple of times. First, wife is from Philly, I lived there with her a couple of years, and the reason we went there the first time was because of that description. Ain't even close. And the wings? Dipped in bottled sauce and way undercooked ( I'm talking red and raw at the bone) the first time, overcooked the second. We used to live about 4 blocks from the joint, but after the second try we never went back.

Re: “Moe's Southwest Grill

I love this place, great food and good prices for lunch. To many places now are overcharging for lunch but I can get a burrito, chips, salsa, and drink for around 8 or so dollars.
