Not Swanky......Ridiculous let me just say again. RIDICULOUS!!
This might be one of the bigger jokes in the Charleston area. Granted, the place has been updated nicely - and the dj is great - BUT, we arent in Vegas fellas. The rude doorman/bouncers with their ear pieces and tough guy attitudes is laughable. Pricey drinks and bartenders who make you feel lucky to get served doesn't last long here. Best was a fight in the parking lot at 2 AM. Mount Pleasant people! Take it to N Chuck!
Gorgeous interior. Had Pisco Disco cocktails, the cheese plate, the garlic shrimp, and the steak crostini. The shrimp was very salty...lots of garlic I can handle, too much salt is another thing. The steak crostini lacked flavor. The cheese plate was so-so. The Pisco Disco cocktails were great! This might be a great place to have drinks, but I would not go again to eat.
The interior is polished and the staff welcoming. However our food was luke warm ( the croquettes & skewers) and without much flavor. The menu is limited and nothing surprising, we definitely could tell there wasn't much effort put into it. The wine list also needs more diversity and depth.
What's twisted about this place is that they feel like a sports bar, situated in what is essentially a strip mall, can charge $18 for crab cakes..... REALLY?
This is not New York, Miami, or LA, the atmosphere here is contrived. The bartenders look at you with their noses high in the air. *Newsflash* you're bar-tending in Charleston, SC in a bar that plays 10 year old techno music. And to categorize this place as a tapas bar is like categorizing 7-11 as a restaurant! There are 4 things on the menu! Avoid this place at all costs, Blind Tiger Pub and Rooftop have a better atmosphere.
