Halloween gig pix, Break Room

There was absolutely no shortage of musical events across town on Halloween night — from Folly to North Chuck to th IOP and back. I ended up as part of the rhythm section with local bar rock band Spunjwurthi, keeping time alongside drummer Scott Price at the Break Room in Mt. Pleasant.
Singer Larry Strickland showed up dressed as Kiss bassist Gene Simmons ("Miss Aqua Net 2008" was his biggest fan). Guitarists Chris Barrineau and Dave Dunning looked like twins spawned by ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons. Bassist Ben Polk went as Mr. T (circa The A-Team days). Price was dressed as a nerdy music journalist. It was an '80s music theme party, which made for big laughs watching "Gene Simmons" sing such hits as "867-5309 (Jenny)," "Centerfold," and "What I Like About You." City Paper's Derek Judson dropped by to referee the post-show shenanigans. Here are some snapshots:

I know that some photographer was taking pictures on Market Street downtown Charleston, because My friend and I posed in one and if you are not going to put it up is there anyway I can get it emailed too me. Thank you Jenna P.S. I was in a black and white out fit and my friend was a cop.

I was stuck in North Mt. Pleasant playing drums and snapping these shots on this page — however, the busy folks at Carolina Nightlife probably had a team of photgraphers downtown and in the Market's bar scene.
