We all have our ways of chilling out after a long day. Maybe you prefer to switch on your favorite jams, grab a few cold ones, or head to your favorite yoga class for the ultimate wind-down. Well good news, the second installment of Yogapop 2: Radiate combines all three. The evening starts with a one-hour yoga class led by Cortney Ostrosky. And fear not if you’re a yogi novice, the class is suitable for participants at any stage in their yoga studies. West Virginia-indie artist Logan Venderlic will provide live music during the practice and throughout the rest of the night. If yoga and Venderlic’s self-dubbed “folk wave” tunes aren’t enough to stimulate your senses, you can visit some of the food, beverage, and artisan vendors after class. Bay Street Biergarten, Artisan Tees, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, lululemon, and others will be on hand. Still wanting more? Spoken word artist Matt Foley will recite his poetry. “Both Logan and Matt are yogis themselves,” says Hilary Johnson, the event’s coordinator, “so they really understand the ‘lifting each other up high and shining bright’ spirit of the event that Cortney crafts in her class.” The evening comes to an end with a runway fashion show that uses some of Charleston’s own yogi models sporting designs that work inside and outside the studio.
