Ah, the long work day is over. Now you’re home, and all you want is to go enjoy happy hour at the bar. It is thirsty Thursday, after all. Except your dog is being especially needy, and you feel a pang of guilt leaving your pup behind. But don’t worry, you can still enjoy some booze while your dog gets their bark on at Yappy Hour at James Island County Park. “We like to think of Yappy Hour as a thank you party and social get-together for our regular dog park-goers, but it’s also a great chance for people to try out the parks and get to meet some other dog-friendly people,” Sarah Reynolds, publicity coordinator says. At the party, there’ll be jams from acoustic rockers The Bill Show. Sip on beer that’s $4-$5 or wine from Bota Box, Redvolution or pinot grigio. Outside food and drinks will not be permitted. And to get into the park, your dogs’ tags will need to show that they’re up to date with vaccinations. Dogs that are sick, aggressive, too young for rabies vaccinations, or in heat are not allowed.
