Outwit. Outplay. Outlast. Wiley must confront and outsmart the Hairy Man (and his fear) in order to build his hound a doghouse out in the swamp in this children's play.

Beware the Bogeyman. Susan Zeder is a leading playwright for young audiences, and she's adapted a classic Southern folktale that feeds on the fears of children: monsters and the dark. Little Wiley must overcome his fear and figure out a way to trick the Hairy Man — without the help of anyone else.

You can do it all by yourself. Talk about an empowering message for kids. Despite being scared to death, Wiley perseveres and triumphs. This performance is appropriate for ages five and up.
