It’s the Southeastern Wildlife weekend in Charleston and that means chefs are taking this opportunity to trot out some gamey delights. This week, you have two different dinners to choose from. Downtown at Tristan on Thursday night, Chef Nate Whiting will serve duck, quail, pheasant, and wild boar. Wine pairings from Vidalco Wines, a cheese course, and huckleberry cobbler for dessert should make for a solid experience. On Monday night, 17 N. Roadside Kitchen out in Mt. Pleasant will present a big multi-course, wine-paired dinner featuring duck liver pâté, rabbit sausage, wild boar rillettes, wild striped bass, Bulls Bay clams, Georgia quail, and venison osso bucco. Sounds hearty. Reservations are suggested for both of those dinners.
