Events for the weekend of July 8-10

It's gonna get real hot out there this weekend, y'all. Make sure to hydrate — beer doesn't count, although we really wish it did — and slather on the sunscreen for all your outdoor gigs, from live music to farmers markets to outside yoga. Namaste.


Urban Flow Yoga presents Tethered, an art installation by Michelle Seay from 7-9 p.m.

Head to the Sparrow for Holy City Ha-Ha starting at 8:30 p.m. where you can catch performances from Cabell Wilkinson, Shawna Jarrett, Jessica Mickey, and more female comedians.

The Cannibals at Threshold Repertory Theatre, 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday.

From 5-7 p.m. the City Gallery holds a reception for its exhibition by Leo Twiggs, Requiem for Mother Emanuel.

Catch a film on the field at MUSC Health Stadium where gates open at 6 p.m. Tonight's flick is Top Gun.

Jam to the Dubplates at Party at the Point, held at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, starting at 5:30 p.m.

PURE Theatre presents Buyer and Cellar, a one-man show about a struggling actor who moves into the baesment of a famous actress. The play starts at 7:30 p.m.

Head to the Loading Dock series at Palmetto Brewery for free tunes and a food truck onsite. Music starts at 6 p.m.


ReFORM studios hosts an obstacle course at COAST Brewing, with proceeds going towards the S.C. Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The Carolina Coast Surf Club Exposition at the Windjammer will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., featuring surf board appraisals, surf art, raffles, and more.

Shop local at the weekly Charleston Farmers Market, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Low Tide Brewing holds Suds and Savasana at 11 a.m. where $15 gets you a yoga class and beer.

Enjoy your beer with a side of wrestling at Frothy Beard starting at 2 p.m.

Check out the Village Repertory Company's Red, White and Cash tonight and tomorrow at Woolfe Street Playhouse.

Jam out to Bootless at Red's starting at 9:30 p.m.

Gaslight Street rocks out at Home Team BBQ Sullivan's at 10 p.m. and tickets are just five bucks.

The Mill presents John Till at 8 p.m.

Comedy Wars at Pulp kick off at 10 p.m., where four teams of comedians are pitted against each other.


Vickery's hosts a summer series featuring live music and drink specials, with a portion of proceeds donated to the Lowcountry Equine Assisted Pscyhotherapy from 3-7 p.m.

Join in a community yoga class at Holy Cow Yoga at 6:30 p.m.

Nothing says yoga like beer, eh? Urban Flow Yoga partners with Beer Works to present Broga on Beer Works patio from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Listen to Kanika Moore and the Motown Throwdown at the Pour House Sunday Brunch Farmers Market at 11 a.m.

The Budweiser Bikini Bash kicks off at 1 p.m., featuring babes in bikinis, and bros with beers. Or whatever other B word you wanna use.

It's the second Sunday of the month which means ... it's Second Sundays on King Street, from 1-5 p.m.
