Weekend Round-up: Frosty Fun

The best events in Charleston, Dec. 12-14

Jack Frost is in the house; this morning we actually had to defrost our windshields, which only gets us in the holiday season even more.  But the days will be warming up to the '60s, so basically it's a winter weather dream. And we plan on celebrating some cheer and good tidings all weekend.

Friday  Somehow it's mid-December, and our holiday shopping hasn't even started. Head to Static in the Snow to pick up some gifts, eat yummy food, and browse some art. There's also the Smith Street Pop-Up shop to grab some pressies.

Check out Charleston Comedy Fest Stand-up Competition winner Jeremy McLellan at Raul's Maya del Sol for some comedy. The margaritas can only add to the laughs.

Listen to experimental and electronic acts Post-Cobra and Lectra Lust at the Tin Roof.

Throw on a tacky sweater and head to the Bohemian Bull.

Grab some blankets and watch a holiday movie under the stars.

The George Gallery hosts a reception for photographer Melinda Mead Scharstein's latest exhibit from/here.

Hear the Charleston Symphony Orchestra perform holiday classics.

PURE Holiday Shorts won't be another take on A Night Before Christmas or A Christmas Carol.

Bring an unwrapped toy to the Biergarten and receive $5 in Bier Bucks to sip on a hot toddy or some egg nog.

Listen to some electronic music in the woods of the Brickhouse Party Plantation.

The businesses of Avondale hosts a holiday shopping, eating, and drinking winter fiesta.

Watch the boats decorated for the season at the annual Holiday Boat Parade.

Throw on your Santa hat or elf garb and crawl the bars of King Street.

Sunday Stroll King Street car free during Second Sunday.

Sundays are for oyster roasts. The Royal American hosts one in honor or bikers. Or head to Johns Island for their more family friendly roast.
