Vickery’s overlooks picturesque Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant and is the perfect place to take a boisterous crowd ready for some good grub and good times. The big menu starts with wings and bourbon butter shrimp that are perfect for sharing. The big salads will satisfy the veggie lovers while the meat eaters will head straight for the Southern fried or jerk chicken. Us? We order the Classic Cuban: roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and spicy brown mustard pressed flat in between some crusty Cuban bread. It comes served with Vickery’s famous hand-cut fries. —Stephanie Barna Dish (Winter 2013)
