Two Boroughs Larder Three Year Anniversary and Launch of Bittermilk No. 5 Charred Grapefruit Tonic

When: Sun., Aug. 3, 1 p.m. 2014
Price: $10/1-4 p.m., $55/5-8 p.m., $60/Both
Thanks to Two Boroughs Larder, we now know what we want for our next birthday: a new Bittermilk tonic, please and thank you. In the meantime, we’ll just have to settle for celebrating Two Boroughs Larder’s third anniversary with the launch of the cocktail mixer company’s newest concoction, No. 5 Charred Grapefruit Tonic. “We wanted to make a mixer that would do well with light spirits, even tequila, but could stand on its own. The taste is slightly bitter and full of citrus,” says Bittermilk’s MariElena Raya. “It’s complex due to the torching of the grapefruit. A bit of salt rounds it out.” From 1-4 p.m. guests can enjoy Bittermilk No. 5 cocktails mixed with Cathead Vodka while grubbing from the Larder’s raw bar on the dock. Around 5 p.m., party-goers will be served a Two Boroughs birthday dinner prepared by Chef Josh Keeler on an outdoor fire grill with drinks, including beer, wine, and a specialty Walter cocktail, named after the famous Two Boroughs corgi. The wonder dog is also rumored to be present at the celebration.
