Looking back at Trace Adkins’ booty-shakin’ 2005 dance hit “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” (and the ridiculous butt-filled music video that accompanied it), it’s tempting to tag him as just another cheesy contemporary country superstar in a cowboy hat. However, considering the baritone-voiced singer’s musical output over the last 20 years, one has to give the guy props for his vocal skills and range. A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Adkins has earned 30 charted singles, and he regularly sings a killer version of “The Star Spangled Banner” at sporting events, too. Adkins leads his Songs & Stories Tour to the Lowcountry this week for an intimate solo show in support of his new studio album Proud to Be Here. The nicely produced collection features the current radio singles “Just Fishin’” and “Million Dollar View.” Show time is 7:30 p.m.
