Throwback Thursday is generally a hashtag saved for Instagram photos. But Cinebarre had a different idea in mind when they began their summer outdoor film fest that features flicks from the ’70s and ’80s. This Thursday though, you’ll need to dust off your fedora and whip for the screening of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom on the outdoor screen. Be sure to bring a blanket or a lawn chair and scope out a spot in Cinebarre’s parking lot. “There is something so sentimental about the experience,” says manager Katie Clayton. “It is something special to watch classic movies outside with the cool Charleston breeze under the stars.” Admission is free, and there’ll be $1 sodas, $4 select beer specials, and $6 wine and domestic beers. And what’s a movie without food? Cinebarre will be serving up cheeseburgers, hotdogs, chips, popcorn, and candy for purchase. If you can’t make it out to see the adventures of Indiana Jones, there’s still time to catch another flick. Cinebarre will be playing Jaws on July 10, Caddyshack on July 17, Back to the Future on July 24, The Godfather on July 31, Labyrinth on Aug. 7, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on Aug. 14.
