The Alley's green salad of shredded fennel, cabbage, celery leaves, jalapeños, and cilantro tossed in lemon vinaigrette.

The Alley's green salad of shredded fennel, cabbage, celery leaves, jalapeños, and cilantro tossed in lemon vinaigrette.

The Alley is a bowling alley with just eight lanes but plenty of retro style. The dozen vintage arcade games lining the wall are throwbacks to an earlier era, but the food is as up to date as it can be. Start out with chicken and waffle sliders, then move to a Lowcountry muffaletta. There's lighter fare here too, like tequila lime chicken tortilla and goat cheese salad. But we can't get enough of jalapeño cheddar corn dog. Powered with such tasty, satisfying fare, you’re bound to roll a few strikes on the lanes. —Robert Moss Dish (Winter 2015)
