You’re in store for a magical night indeed with husband and wife comedians Matt and Glennis McCarthy. The evening starts with tales from Glennis’ upcoming book, How to Survive in New York on 19 Years (or Less), which includes stories about her move to the Big Apple at age 19 after being raised in a Colorado trailer park. Glennis was recently featured in the New York Times for her stand up comedy society Gorgeous Ladies of Comedy (GLOC), which you might remember from this year’s Piccolo Fringe. “[She’s] definitely the one carrying the flag for comedy in New York right now,” says Theatre 99 co-founder Brandy Sullivan. Glennis’ husband Matt, who’s been featured on shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Louie, will keep the laughter rolling for another half hour. His CD Come Clean will be on sale in the lobby after the show if you want to hear more from the funny man.
