In the early 1990s, the Mustard Seed was a small bistro in a Mt. Pleasant shopping plaza with a vegetarian-friendly menu and cute wine list. Now the Mt. Pleasant location is situated in a handsome stand-alone building with a casual wine bar atmosphere. Two Mustard Seed locations with similar decor and ambiance have sprouted up on James Island and in Summerville. They’re all part of the Dine With Sal group, and they’ve all earned loyal clienteles by offering fresh ingredients, homemade soups and desserts, and more than a few exotic twists on Lowcountry and Southern fare.
