If you love the smooth, soothing appeal of the Indigo Girls, the feeling is mutual. Amy Ray, one half of the duo with Emily Saliers, told us last year of the early days of travelling between school in Georgia and the bars of Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. “It was all about the beer, the gig, and the friends,” she said. “The Charleston gigs were definitely some of our favorite memories of our early days.” Expect Indigo Girl standards like “Joking,” “Galileo,” and “Power of Two,” as well as newer favorites like “Last Tears” and “I Believe in Love.” And, of course, there will be a healthy dose of material from the latest album, last year’s Poseidon and the Bitter Bug. It’s one of the duo’s most successful EPs and includes songs like the uplifting “Love of Our Lives” and the contemplative “Digging for Your Dream.” The studio albums are always welcome, but Indigo concert veterans will tell you that the harmony between these two gracious singer/songwriters on the stage is unmatched. —Greg Hambrick
