Yes, they're laughing at you. Greg Tavares, John Brennan, and R.W. Smith team up for a slapdash look at Charleston's 300-year history in this scripted show in the vein of Saturday Night Live and MADtv. Tavares promises that it's dumb enough for morons to understand.

Black face is not cool. These guys skewer anything and everything that Charleston is known (and loved) for, even black face. Oh, yes, they go there.

Old folks love 'em. Theatre 99 produces the Piccolo Fringe festival, which is known for edgier fare (one show even has the f-word in the title!). But this one pulls in the crowds of elderly folk who invariably populate the theaters of Spoleto. Most of the time they don't get up and leave en masse. But we can't promise the absurd Tom Selleck bit won't put them off.
