Back in 2011, a little show from the creators of South Park took Broadway by storm – winning nine Tony Awards in the process. Now that play, The Book of Mormon, comes to Charleston, where Holy City residents can laugh as two Mormon missionaries are sent to a remote village in northern Uganda, all set to song. Of course, audiences should expect the musical to be irreverent — what else would it be with Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez (Avenue Q) at the helm? Think songs peppered with curse words, some blasphemous zingers, and a whole slew of other so-inappropriate-it’s-funny moments.
