Shawn Thackeray cultivates 25 of his 40 acres in the spring, producing a bounty of cherry and heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, spring mix lettuce, and arugula. Weston Fennell of Limehouse Produce then distributes the vegetables to local restaurants, stores, and individuals. Thackeray Farms is partnered with Ellis Grossman of Black Bean Co., who uses the land to cultivate his own vegetables directly. You can pick up their special sweet corn and other veggies at the Marion Square farmers market every Saturday. For a special spring treat, head out to the farm and cut your own flowers.
