Even though summer is around the corner, many teachers are already preparing to reach into their own pockets to help pay for supplies for the upcoming school year. Which is why Teachers’ Supply Closet, a nonprofit organization that provides free supplies to teachers in the Tri-County area, has put together their spring event to help solve this problem. The result is the second annual Spring Social. Guests will tour four South of Broad homes, each with a musical theme of either bluegrass, jazz, Latin, or classical. Social Wine Bar, Wasabi, Iacafano’s, Gullah Cuisine, and the Art Institute will create custom dishes to complement the musical themes. Bartenders from local restaurants will serve signature Ketel One cocktails inspired by the musical genre of each home. Musicians Leah Suárez, Charlton Singleton, the South Carolina Broadcasters, and more will perform.
