Tasting Menu Benefit 

When: Thursdays, 5:30-10 p.m. Continues through Oct. 30 2009
Price: $75 or $110 w/wine pairings

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Circa 1886 is offering a special tasting menu with 10 percent of the price being donated to the Charleston Breast Center.

The five-course menu features:

  • crab cake soufflé, avocado slaw, orange jus paired with Folie á deux Menage a Trois Cuvee ’05
  • lobster bisque, crème fraîche and almond chive pesto paired with Domaine Long-Depaquit Chablis ’06
  • rice paper-wrapped baby romaine, black olive dressing and cracked pepper croutons paired with Maysara Roseena Rosé, Oregon ’06
  • veal osso bucco, black eyed pea stew, sautéed baby spinach and caramelized onions paired with Antonio Vallana, “Boca” Barbaresco, Maggiora ’96
  • house-made strawberry soda served with assorted cookies
