Next weekend, foodies will get their chance to wine and dine during the BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Fest, but this weekend is for the beer lovers.
The Charleston Brewvival will take place on Saturday in Noisette, and that means lots of revered brewmasters will be in town. Chai’s has snagged the featured speaker — Greg Koch of Stone Brewing Co. — for a dinner, which will highlight the mighty 2010 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine, among other specialties. Chicken galentin and pork and duck pâté with Stone Levitation kicks the night off and the menu flows through Lowcountry cioppino, cold sesame soba noodle salad, and Arrogant-braised short ribs before wrapping up with a waffle and butter pecan ice cream paired with the Stone Smoked Porter.
