Stingrays play first home game of the season

The team takes on the Florida Everblades

Starting 2010-2011 season with five games on the road, the South Carolina Stingrays are happy to be heading back to their home at the North Charleston Coliseum, especially with only two wins during those first five. A strong opening home game could help boost the Stingrays to their 2009 Kelley Cup champion caliber and get them out of this early season slump.

The Stingrays home opener is this Friday against the Florida Everblades, who have gotten off to a strong start this season, winning five of their first eight and sitting two spots ahead of the Stingrays in the South division of the Eastern conference.

Since September, the Stingrays have added 11 new players to the roster. Hopefully these newcomers to the lineup will find their place on the ice and get the Stingrays back to winning form, starting with this Friday’s home opener.
